What would happen is all receptor proteins were removed from the membrane of all liver cells?

It will no longer function because it wouldn’t be able to break down remains, protein take in the fuel the liver needs to function. The liver will stop cleansing completely

It would no long function properly due to the receptor proteins functioning to initiate a signalling process and begin the breakdown of substances
