The angle measured is 1.72 radians

Solution:

Given that radius is 9 units and arc length is 15.5 units

To find: angle, [tex]\theta[/tex] , in radians

The length of arc when angle in radians is given as:

[tex]s = r \times \theta[/tex]

Where, "r" is the radius and "s" is the arc length

[tex]\theta[/tex] is central angle measured in radians

Substituting r = 9 and s = 15.5 in above formula,

[tex]15.5 = 9 \times \theta\\\\\theta = \frac{15.5}{9}\\\\\theta = 1.72[/tex]

Thus the angle measured is 1.72 radians
