Explanation:

Benign and malignant tumors are abnormal growths, the main difference between them is the nature of the cells that compose them. In benign tumors cells are not cancerous, they do not invade tissues around them and therefore they don't spread to other body parts, this makes them easier to remove and less likely to recur.
