A line has a slope of m=12 and the point (-2, 8) lies on the line. What is the equation of the line?

You use the point slope formula to solve this.
Formula: y - y1 = m(x - x1)
m = 12
x1 = -2
y1 = 8
so...
y-8=12(x-(-2))
y-8=12(x+2)
y-8=12x+24
y=12x+32
