Earth's 80% surface has been formed just 200 million years ago which makes earth surface quite young. The impact craters on earth are harder to recognize because of weathering and erosion of surface. Whereas the Surface of moon is very old,99% of the moon's surface is 3 billion year old.

The crater formed to falling debaris in those times have not been modified to lack of weathering and erosion. Moreover, moon also lacks water, atmosphere, tectonic activity.
