I THINK you have to use the Pythagorean theorem to find the other side of the 2 triangles at the bottom. Then you have to divide the WHOLE figure in many small figures. You could divide it in a rectangle at the top and two triangles and 1 square at the bottom. Then you find the area of each small figure. And then you add all of those areas.
