Can someone translate the Swahili word 'Cheo' for me please? I do not understand.

It means title/position/rank. For example: Nilikuwa mwanamaji, cheo cha chini kabisa katika jeshi la wanamaji. (I was a seaman, the lowest possible rank in the navy.)
