If the area of a rectangle is 35 inches and the width is 7 in, what is the height?

5 in, area is width x length, If the width is 7, the total (35) divided by 7, would get your length.

Formula for area: length × height = area

area = 35

length = 7

7 × h = 35

^^^ Isolate h by dividing 7 to both sides:

h = 5

the height is 5 inches
