Given:f=(5,- -1/5) and g=(-1,3/10) find 3f+5g

  • since f(5,-1/5),g(-1,1/3)
  • therefore 3f=3x(5,-1/5)=(15,-3/5)
  • and 5g=5x(-1,3/10)=(-5,3/2)
  • by adding both of them:(15,-3/5)+(-5,3/2)=(10,9/10)
