first you find the area.

16 * 24

aea of the courtyard is 384 meters

there is 100 cm in a meter

100 cm  by 40 cm (the size of the slab)

you get 2.5 slabs per meter then you multiply by the total meters of the courtyard

2.4 * 384 = 960

you need 960 slabs
