In order to get the answer to this question you have to remember that if the exponent is positive you need to move to the right, and if the exponent is negative you got to move to the left.

  • [tex]4.9\times10^8[/tex]
  • Positive so move to the right 8 times....
  • [tex]4.9\times10^8 = 490000000.[/tex]
  • [tex]= 490000000.[/tex]

Therefore the answer is "490000000."
