Use cross multiplication to solve:

[tex]\frac{104}{10} =\frac{16}{x}\\ \\10*16=160\\104x=160\\\\x=160/104\\x=\frac{20}{13}[/tex]

So, he rode [tex]\frac{20}{13}[/tex] miles in 10 minutes (approximately 1.54mi).
