You do not need to use the remainder theorem to find p(3). Just plugin 3 where the x is located in

[tex]x^4 + x^3 - x^2 - 2x[/tex]

[tex]3^4 + 3^3 - 3^2 - 2(3) = 93[/tex]

Answer is a.
