The Boston Massacre also known as the Incident on King Street (now State Street) was a confrontation between civilians and British soldiers. The confrontation started with small insults between Edward Garrik (local) and the soldiers John Goldfinch and Private White. It wasn't until White hit Garrik that the real confrontation started. As a result, 5 men were killed during the fight and March 5 of 1770 was remembered as the Boston Massacre.
