What is the equation of a line with a slope of 1/8 and passes through the point ( - 2,-3)

so the equations are set up with the formula y=mx+b so the slope is 1/8 so y=1/8x-3 and to find your equation with the points you do

-3=1/8x-2 + b

-3=.25+b

so answer is y= 1/8x+ -3.25
