Add 2/5 and 1/6 and then subtract the sum from 1.

2/5 + 1/6 = 12/30 + 5/30 = 17/30

She read 17/30 of the book.

1 - 17/30 = 30/30 - 17/30 = 13/30

13/30 of the book is left.
