The mass number is calculated by adding the number of protons and the number of neutrons.

Therefore, you can find the number of neutrons by subtracting the number of protons from the mass number. The number of protons is equal to the atomic number, therefore you just have to do the mass number - atomic number to find the number of neutrons.

82 - 26 = 56 neutrons.
