Emmett Till was taken from his relative's home, as he was visiting from Chicago, brutally beaten and tortured several ways until he died. All of this was done after he was accused of either whistling or saying "Hey Baby" to a white woman in 1955. He is often referred to a martyr and believed to be the true catalyst for the Civil Rights Movement.
