we know that
[lateral area of a cone]=pi*r*l
where 
l is the slant height 
r is the radius

lateral area=pi*r*l---------> l=lateral area/(pi*r)-----> l=112*pi/(pi*8)---> l=14 cm

the answer is
14 cm
